In this flash code worksheet I used a 1995 Honda Civic to read the codes off.
To get the flash codes to come up on the dash you first have to locate the 2 pin plug, in this case it is inside the passengers kick panel, once the connector is located bridge the two pins and read the flash codes off the dash, 1 quick flash = 1, 1 long flash = 10, pause = next code.
Code Numbers received
3 Map
7 TPS
10 IAT
After finding out what codes came up I looked under the bonnet to see if i could find the faults, I found 3 plugs unplugged, Map sensor, throttle position sensor and the intake air temp sensor.
To repair the fault I plugged all three plugs back in, nice and easy.
To clear the codes all you do is disconnect the negative side of the battery for 10 seconds.
After this was done no codes reappeared.
With the Map sensor unplugged the engine would not be running well at idle and would run rough. with the throttle position sensor unplugged the engine would have flat spots.
